Among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN, particular emphasis is placed on Gender Equality (Goal 5).
The National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), in Mission 5, has stressed the importance of reducing disparities by allocating €9.81 billion for the development of social inclusion policies, which represent an opportunity for organisations to structure their own inclusion management system, not only to demonstrate their commitment to Gender Equality, but also to determine and monitor specific improvement goals.
The UNI/PdR 125:2022 Reference Practice published by the National Unification Body (Uni) on March 16, 2022, and addressed to both public and private organizations, is not a national standard, but a document required by EU Regulation No. 1025/2012 that reflects the outcomes of the discussions held in the Working Group on gender certification of companies, coordinated by the Department for Equal Opportunities and involving the Department for Family Policies, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, the Ministry of Economic Development, and the National Parity Council.
The objective of the UNI/PdR practice is to guide companies through a process of narrowing gender gaps in the workplace. AnciLab, after a structured and systematic journey aimed at enhancing a corporate culture based on inclusivity, has obtained certification for gender equality in accordance with the UNI/PdR 125:2022 practice with a satisfaction level of 100% regarding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This means that, in relation to the entire list of applicable indicators, the certifying body has identified evidence supporting the assignment of the maximum score.
The process leading to Gender Equality certification
AnciLab offers its experience gained through its certification journey, the expertise developed in the field of inclusivity-focused corporate culture, and knowledge of in-house organizational systems to provide support in the development of the fundamental steps enabling UNI PDR 125/2022 Certification.
The certification, carried out by accredited certification bodies, is valid for three years in accordance with the CEI EN ISO/IEC 17021-1 standard. Obtaining Certification, in addition to enhancing the company’s image and reputation, allows organizations to access tax breaks and incentives when participating in Italian and European calls. Furthermore, implementing a Gender Equality management system supports compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitates reporting on male and female employment.
Gender Equality Certification is applicable to any type of organization, whether in the private, public, or non-profit sector, regardless of size and nature of the activity.
