Sustainable Development 2021

In this first Sustainability Workshop, we discussed experiences in sustainable development of the urban environment. New models are being experimented in municipalities, aiming at a circular economy, sustainable and low-impact mobility, and a reduction of all forms of waste. It is necessary to rethink a new use of energy by focusing on savings and, where possible, on on-site production from renewable sources.
A strategic role is also played by Energy Communities by redefining the role of the citizen, who becomes a consumer/producer within a local network.
An integrated approach is needed that involves, balances and enhances all these aspects, working in close contact with local stakeholders (institutions, businesses, schools, associations, citizens).
