Our artistic and cultural heritage is an important resource that the whole world envies us for, and its management involves aspects related to institutions, territory, economy, and employment. In recent years, the awareness that enhancing a cultural asset can help increase the prestige and progress of the territory, promoting aggregation, economic development, ethical growth, and local identity has grown.
The AnciLab Laboratory focused on tangible heritage, consisting of archaeological, architectural, artistic, and historical assets—as well as museums, libraries, and historical archives—by organizing five highly operational days and bringing together stakeholders in the sector to discuss three main themes: the search for economic resources and necessary skills, technological and organizational innovation, and finally, strategic vision and communication.
The protagonists were local administrators and public officials, called to play a role of guidance and coordination among various public and private actors, and businesses, which participated by presenting their perspectives and innovative experiences. This resulted in a stimulating experience, rich in lively discussions, which allowed the richness of ongoing experiences in our territories to emerge and common factors and future work perspectives to be identified together.
